Military Cool Chest PadsDirections to make Cool Chest Pad
1. Wash and dry military weight material.
2. Cut material into 13" by 27" pieces and 4" by 25" strip.
3. Press and fold 13x27, piece right sides together. Stitch up both sides leaving top open.
4. Turn right side out and iron. Draw a line 2 inches down from open end across.
5. Sew 7 lines from your line to the bottom of pad evenly spaced. This makes 8 tubes.
6. Into each tube put 1/4 teaspoon of med polymer crystals. (we purchase these at www.watersorb.com size medium)
7. Sew across the line you drew enclosing crystals. Fold in top of pad and sew across to finish.
8. Take the 4" by 26" material and fold length wise and hem edges.
9. Sew one end of strap to top of pad. Cut 2" piece of 1" velcro. Sew one piece to the other end of strap strap and the other to the other side of pads.
Directions for use:
Immerse entire pad in cool water. Let sit for 30 to 45 minutes. Hang to dry.Do NOT freeze. Can refridgerate. Pad will swell and become cold. Wear next to skin or over T-shirt to stay cool.
The pad goes over your heart and cools your blood as it circulates.
To clean the pad it can be hand washed in mild soap. Hang to dry. Redistribute crystals.
